There’s a chance that Jason Rothmyer is simply a fan of cruising around Fremont while wearing ladies’ underwear. But there’s a bigger chance that police are right and he also likes to stop at women’s houses, peep in their windows, and, when they catch him, give them a glimpse of his goods.Rothmyer, or Rothmeyer as KOMO News has it listed, allegedly had quite the little peeping streak going on the night of Jan. 7.The first woman to see him that night was Brittany Throne. She was alerted by her dog, who strangely kept barking at the window. After finally going to see what the fuss was about, she supposedly saw Rothmyer standing in her yard, dressed in nothing below the waist but a black thong. The P-I

reports that in court on Tuesday, Seattle Police Det. Ed Garcia described the encounter as such:”From the waist down, the adult male was only wearing what appeared . . . to be black women’s panties. The male looked at [her] and pushed aside the panties, completely exposing his genitals.”KOMO has some more details on the incident, including an interview with Throne, who says stuff about the “general area of his groin”–the worst general area of all. “It was terrifying. He wasn’t wearing anything but this hood that was covering his upper body and his bottoms were completely exposed. [He] slammed his hands on the door [and] went for the doorknob to see if it was locked. Completely kept thrusting himself against the window, like this, to try and get my attention to the general area of his groin.”After pulling the old Thong B’ Gone trick, Rothmyer took off. But prosecutors say his next stop was another woman’s house where he tried the same thing. This time when the 911 call came in, police arrived faster and saw Rothmyer nearby.A short foot chase ensued. And then there he was–zipper open, belt unbuckled, with, underneath, one gorgeous black thong, perfectly described by the previous witness.Police call things like that “clues.”Now he’s been charged with two counts of voyeurism and is in King County Jail on $20,000 bond.
