Isaiah Kalebu, the man accused of the murdering South Park resident Teresa Butz and raping her and her partner, pleaded not guilty to aggravated first-degree murder and other charges today. If convicted, he’d face either life in prison or the death penalty. King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg says he hasn’t decided what punishment he’ll seek. The P-I has the full story. On another note, the state crime lab’s identification of Kalebu as the suspect via DNA was their 1,000th such match.
