For the past several months, Domino’s Pizza has been aggressively marketing itself as a changed company that no longer makes shitty, cardboard-esque pies. The jury is still out on whether they’ve succeeded. But it would still seem to be in the company’s interest to make sure it at least correctly spells the names of the neighborhoods it’s targeting. Sadly, that’s not the case with the latest Domino’s door-hanging flyer delivered around Seattle, which spells Capitol Hill and Queen Anne as “Capital Hill” and “Queen Ann.” It’s a simple error to make, admittedly, but considering that the names, phone numbers and addresses of the stores on the flyer are the only non-generic info that the stores had to worry about, it’s more than slightly embarrassing.Brock Slentz, the manager at the “Capital Hill” Domino’s, tells the Daily Weekly that he was unaware of the error, but that he’d bring it up with his boss ASAP.Just remember, Domino’s: Seattleites are, by nature, a pretty forgiving bunch. We’re OK with your pizza being a bit late sometimes, or when the delivery driver doesn’t bother to extinguish his blunt before he knocks at the door. We’ll even look past the fact that your founder, Thomas S. Monaghan, was a right-wing extremist who’s crusaded against abortion rights and even tried to turn a Florida town into his own private monastery. Just don’t insult our ‘hoods. Our ‘hoods are who we are.
