Anyone who’s ever watched a good stick-em-up knows that after you steal the goods, you got to lay low, not masturbate in public. But that lesson didn’t stick with a man accused of robbing a bank and then getting the cops called on him for “having a good time with himself.”Seattle Police say a man entered the U.S. Bank near Broadway and East John Street on new Year’s Eve wearing a black hoodie and slipped a teller a note saying that he had a bomb and wanted cash. The man was gone by the time police arrived, but he was captured on surveillance cameras and the next day officers got a call from a woman at East Pike and Bellevue Avenue, complaining that a man was lying in the entryway to a car dealership masturbating. When police approached the man, they realized he looked like the suspect in the bank robbery. Lo and behold, when asked about his self-pleasing behavior, he explained that he wasn’t masturbating; he was just shoving a bunch of money into his pants.Chalking the case up to a “stroke of luck,” police booked the man into King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
