An hour ago, local bookselling outfit Amazon.com announced that pre-orders of the final book in the Harry Potter septology, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, have crossed the one million mark. It only took the title (which drops July 21st) 95 days of pre-ordering madness to reach this landmark.I’m not saying that this is the end of the world. Kids should read! And while adults should be reading, too, it honestly couldn’t hurt to try reading something new, something new-ish, or something old.
