Where are you spinning?
As far as regular nights . . . I do The Good Look at 611 Supreme every Monday. That’s on some feel-good, anything-goes type of vibe, but I usually go heavy on the hip-hop, soul, and ’90s R&B classics. That’s what the crowd seems to be into there. I also DJ for Stop Biting at Lo-Fi on Tuesdays, hands down my favorite weekly in Seattle—always a good variety of sounds, from the true-school b-boy stuff in the back to the more current/futuristic hip-hop, soul, bass music, etc., in the front lounge.
What records are you digging lately?
Really into this Leatherette EP2. Lots of good modern-soul samples and just all-around dance-floor friendly. Future Cruiser’s “Like a G” is also a current favorite. They flip “Like a G6” and turn it into “Like a genius.” Genius indeed. Also really feeling the new Lunice and Obey City joints right now.
What’s your drink of choice and where are you drinking it?
My drink of choice is definitely whatever Mike at 611 decides to create for me. Always adventurous, never disappointing!
