Image courtesy of Tillamook. This evening, Crave hosts the oh-so- fall-appropriate 3rd Annual Tillamook Macaroni and Cheese Recipe Contest, and you can get in on the tasting. Judges include Seattle Weekly contributor Jess Thomson as well as Chef Tom Black and Seattle P-I food writer Rebekah Denn. (To check out some of Jess’ work, visit here and here.)Tonight is the regional mac and cheese cook-off, in which amateur cooks (no professionals allowed) vie for $1,000 and a chance to win the $5,000 grand prize at the finals in Portland. The competition may be fierce, but you, dear reader, need only bring your appetite. Recipes up for tasting include Noodles and Cheese and Fruit, Oh My!; Pacific Northwest Macaroni and Cheese; and Three Cheese Smoked Salmon Mac. Crave will offer their decadent Shiitake Mac & Cheese for sampling.
