Best Museum: Seattle Art Museum

The people have spoken.

The Seattle Art Museum has three facilities, a growing contemporary collection and diverse programming year-round—especially in summer, when the Olympic Sculpture Park hosts many outdoor activities. SAM’s diverse special exhibitions draw visitors from around the region and the current show at SAM downtown, Graphic Masters, is a knockout collection of prints and sequential art. Future shows include YSL: The Perfection of Style in October and a retrospective of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms in 2017. As the Twitter handle says: iheartSAM. 1301 1st Ave., 654-3100

First runner-up: EMP

Second runner-up: Frye Art Museum

Honorable mention: MOHAI, Wing Luke Museum
