Yesterday, we learned that Seattle’s population is finally growing faster than that of the suburbs. Since the whole point of growth management has been to channel new arrivals to urban areas, this is good news. Still, the city’s increasing growth brings up questions of when and where to build more housing, how much parking to require (or limit), what to do about transit planning, etc. Surprisingly, most of these issues have been largely absent from the campaign trail, particularly in the mayor’s race .
