With all the violence in the U-District lately, you’d think a death was bound to happen sooner or later.Well, at about 1:20 a.m. this morning, it did, but it wasn’t via handgun or pocketknife. It was death by Metro bus.A 19-year-old freshman was skateboarding westbound on Northeast 45th Street, while a bus was going south on University Way Northeast. He couldn’t stop, and slid under the bus. The bus driver, who didn’t understand what happened, drove about a block-and-a-half down the Ave. According to Q13, the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity member was said to be taking a study break to get something to eat.He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
