This may be of interest only to serious Sonics fans, but it’ll be of serious interest to them: The P-I has a great collection of coverage from the team’s 1979 championship run, including audio of a 1979 panel discussion featuring play-by-play announcer Bob Blackburn and forward John Johnson, and 87 photographs, some previously unpublished. And the championship trophy is on display today at MOHAI, where you can get in for free, as it’s First Thursday.
