The key to a good tardiness excuse is to tell the story as if it were fact long enough to actually believe it. It’s not “farfetched” that you’re late because wolves made off with your little sister and you had to track them down and shoot them. That’s exactly what happened. Half-assing an elaborate lateness excuse only makes things worse–as a 15-year-old from Port Orchard found out recently.UPI reports today that the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies were looking high and low for a perp whom the girl said had pulled her down into some bushes and put a sheet over her head. The girl claimed she escaped by slipping out of her backpack. But while 18 deputies were scouring the area and nearby schools were on lockdown, the girl’s story began to disintegrate. Then she admitted it was all just an excuse because she was running late for school. Her next stop after that: juvenile detention.Meanwhile, creeps that hide in bushes and grab teenage girls are having a free run of the place for a while, now that the cops think they’re all fake.Follow the Daily Weekly on Facebook
