Since you lot like quizzes, here’s a quickie for you: What do you do when you’re driving on the freeway, you really want to get from the left to the right lane, but some other car is in the way and will not yield?a) Ease off the gas pedal, let her get in front of you, then merge right. b) Punch the gas, get in front of her, then merge right.c) Line up your shot, open fire, then merge right.d) Enthusiastically flip her off, thereby taking your eyes off the road, causing you to hit her car, causing her to lose control and flip over, and sending yourself into the ditch on the right. While (a) has a lot going for it in terms of preservation of life, we’d be willing, in the right circumstances, to accept (b) as an answer. Some lunatic who answered a similar question two weeks ago by filling in (c) is still, horrifyingly, at large. And then there’s (d). That’s what happened yesterday in southern Pierce County, when a 23-year-old woman in a Ford Taurus was headed eastbound on State Route 512. She was driving in the left lane, and wanted to get over to the right lane, according to the State Patrol. Except there was a Subaru Outback smack dab in the middle of her way, and the driver wasn’t letting her do exactly as she pleased, at the moment she pleased. The crash left the Subaru flipped over on the side of the road, with the Taurus up the road a piece in the ditch. The 23-year-old has yet to be charged, but will likely face charges of reckless driving.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
