Seattle Police Detective John Fox apparently started drinking early on Thursday. He would have had to in order to allegedly drive his unmarked police SUV drunk and cause a four-car pileup in Mukilteo at 1:20 in the afternoon. Several sources are reporting that officers were called to the intersection of Chennault Beach Road and the Mukilteo Speedway for a report of an SUV that crashed into another car that was waiting to turn left, pushing that car into two other vehicles. The driver of the car, reportedly Det. John Fox, is a member of SPD’s narcotics team and a 23-year veteran of the force. He refused to take a sobriety test at the scene, and also refused to take one at the police station. Minor injuries were reported by the other drivers, and Fox was apparently released shortly after being arrested and cited for DUI.He’s been reassigned to new duties at SPD.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
