On a list of outcomes that seem perfectly reasonable, an alleged burglar who was originally caught wearing a sniper-esque moss-camouflage “ghillie suit” and who now has gone missing, has to rank near the top.Such is the case with 36-year-old Portland resident Gregory Liascos, caught by police in October wearing such a suit after allegedly trying to cut a hole into the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals, where about a quarter-million dollars worth of gold and other precious stones are kept. At the time, the cops looked everywhere for the man and couldn’t find him, until a police dog bit down on what looked like a clump of moss, but was actually Liascos in his goof suit. This photo of him at the police station is priceless. So now Liascos is missing. The AP reports he never showed up to his court trial, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. We’re thinking he might have not left. He may in fact be in the courtroom right now camouflaged as, say, a witness stand or an oversized gavel.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
