New Yorkers were pulling out their hair over a rainy June. And–irony of ironies, notes the New York Times–it was sunny in Seattle. Indeed, we did tie a rainless streak. And we do have a thing called June gloom, which brings low clouds that month. But, still, our reputation exceeds us. Seattle averages nine days of rain in June; New York averages ten. Good thing our taxpayer-funded stadium is the one with the retractable roof.
