My friend Terry Kegel’s movie, I Speak Soccer: A Documentary About the International Language of Pickup (I recommend it), is showing at the Northwest Film Forum at 7:20 tonight as part of STIFF. Following the game, Kegel will be leading attendees (and anyone else who’s interested) to Bobby Morris Playfield (at Cal Anderson Park) for some pickup soccer. Asked whether scheduling the game in advance undermined its pickup nature, Kegel demured, saying that many pickup games occur at regular times, and that this announcement is last-minute enough to avoid threatening the game’s pickup status anyway.Pre-sale tickets are sold out, so you’ll have to buy at the door. Get there early. I Speak Soccer, 7:20, Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave, 267-5380
