Maybe it’s something we’ve always done–and we just can’t hold our intoxicants like we used to. Either way, last Friday, King County Sheriff’s deputies rescued a 39-year-old man who had wandered through some woods in Burien for a day-and-a-half, clad only in boxers and reportedly high. (Check out the picture in the link–the brambles did a number on his legs.) Then, just yesterday, the Seattle Fire Department had to rescue a 20-something man who fell down a ledge at Golden Gardens. Witnesses who saw him before the fall said he appeared intoxicated. What could drive these intoxicated men to head for the woods? Perhaps it’s all the news of cougar sightings.
