It’s trivial and meaningless, but it’s also scientific: Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology has the Dawgs as a #3 seed–their highest since ’05–and, more importantly, a first-round game in Portland. Lunardi’s predictions are obviously rough–no one can accurately say which 64 teams will play and where, but a game in Portland would be awesome for the ease with which Husky fans could attend–provided they’re willing to shell out about half-a-G. It would also be awesome if, as Lunardi predicts, the Huskies would be set up for a second-round game against cross-state rivals Gonzaga, whom the Huskies ducked after a series of embarrassing losses. In other news, the Dawgs moved up to the lucky 13 slot in the coaches’ poll, while the AP has them at 16. Hey, AP, give SW a vote!
