It was spotted in Magnolia on Saturday night and Sunday morning and then in Ballard on Sunday; it’s believed to have swam from Magnolia to Ballard via the Ship Canal. But every time police and wildlife agents get close, it finds a place to hide. It’s the Richard Kimble of bears! (FYI: Here’s what the Department of Fish and Wildlife says to do if you encounter it, though we say that if you’re friends with it and you know it’s innocent, you might want to help it out.) Go, fugitive, go!
