Growing up, my mom used to always tell me “Behave or I’ll bite your friggin ear off!”Wait–actually my mother never said that. That’s how one mom in Aberdeen allegedly doles out punishment, though.Aberdeen Police Sgt. Art Laur tells Seattle Weekly that on Saturday officers responded to Grays Harbor Community Hospital and found a 21-year-old woman with a severe bite wound to her ear.”The entire right earlobe was bitten off,” Laur says. The victim tells police that the day prior to the biting, she’d been fighting with her mom about houseguests staying with them, and become frustrated and left the house. Returning the next day, the daughter allegedly walked into the house and was immediately attacked by her mom. In the course of the fight, the mom supposedly bit half her daughter’s ear off. The daughter then allegedly bit her mom back on the arm. “The daughter says she bit her mom to try and get her off her,” Laur says. “The mother says her daughter was biting first.”Perhaps most concerning is the fact that no one can seem to find the victim’s earlobe.Laur says that officers returned to the family’s home and searched high and low for the lost lobe so that doctors could reattach it. But the ear was nowhere to be found. The mother is scheduled to be arraigned today on charges of domestic violence and second-degree assault. We’ll update if we hear (sorry) anything new about the ear search. Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
