For weeks the composite sketch seen to the right was the best description Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies had of a suspect wanted for a series of sexual assaults in the Parkland area. Now the cops say that they have their man, and he’s one of the county’s own.Zane Nixon, a 35-year-old Pierce County Juvenile Detention Officer who works in the county’s Remann Hall facility, was arrested and on suspicion of rape, two counts of indecent liberties and seven counts of assault with sexual motivation.Deputies say that on several occasions the man walked up to women that were walking on or near the Pacific Lutheran University campus and grabbed their breasts or buttocks and then took off. The arrest was apparently made after University security guards recognized Nixon as the man from the composite sketch.Nixon will likely be arraigned on Monday after a long holiday weekend in the slammer.
