David Charles Mathers doesn’t like pants and doesn’t like rules that say he should wear them. His neighbors, however, are all pants-wearing squares. They keep calling the cops whenever Mathers lets his freak flag fly in public. Like just yesterday when he walked outside to check his mail naked.KGW has the story. Apparently Mathers, 55, of Longview, was arrested after police showed up to his apartment, having been called by neighbors who saw him stroll out to check his mail in the buff. When the cops showed up at Mathers’ door, he was still sans clothes and wasn’t about to don any. So the officers wrapped him in a blanket and hauled him off to jail. It’s not the first time that the cops say they’ve had to cuff a pantsless Mathers.Police say the man has mental issues. But maybe it’s us, with all our insistence that people cover themselves with cloth or be imprisoned, who are the crazy ones.
