Congratulations, Seattle! In the past we’ve been ranked as one of the top cities for LGBT equality and listed second in ‘super green’ cities of America. Now we’re number nine on the list of “Sugar Daddy Capitals.”

Yeah, you read that right. Apparently SeekingArrangement.com, “the world’s largest dating site for mutually beneficial relationships,” has released a new study about the demographics of your average American sugar daddy. That being, older men who are in their money making prime and seeking younger women who are in their…beauty prime.

While, according to SeekingArrangement.com, Atlanta is officially the “Sugar Daddy Capital of America,” the website’s list of the top 20 cities reveals that Seattle was number nine; right after Orlando and Los Angeles. According to the study, Seattle has 3.47 sugar daddies for every 1000 adult men walking around—score!

It seems the modern sugar daddy in Seattle is about 46 years old (7 years older than the 39 year old average) and makes approximately $348,021 each year. Of that, the average Seattle sugar daddy will spend about $4,983 on his…sugar baby.

The study was done after SeekingArrangement.com experienced a 71 percent increase in sugar daddies joining in the past year. Founded in 2006, the website now boasts over 1 million members worldwide. In a statement, founder and CEO Brandon Wade said on the site:

“The term ‘sugar daddy’ is simply not a moniker reserved for the ‘one percent.’ Rather it is a lifestyle embodied by single men who have a genuine, vested interest in adding value to their partners’ lives…Arrangements on our website are catered to ensure that both parties are satisfied.”

Wade, who also founded SeekingMillionaire.com and WhatsYourPrice.com (which bills itself as “the first and only, patent pending online dating website where singles can buy and sell first dates”) also says more single men have been joining the site, “reducing the number of married men who engage in this lifestyle.”
