Bloomberg.com headline this morning, one of many pinning the swoon on our local tech giantsIt looks like our companies are dragging everyone down, as the markets all dropped today–particularly the NASDAQ–in reaction to earnings reports from Redmond and soon-to-be South Lake Union. Microsoft’s earnings plunged because, well, the economy sucks, and Windows 7 hasn’t yet been released to save them. Meanwhile, Amazon saw profits drop because they had to cut prices, because, well, the economy sucks, and because the video game industry didn’t release anything hot last quarter, they say. So maybe Nintendo’s the real culprit.
