At 6:30 AM yesterday, Beacon Hill resident Shannon Perry stepped out her back door to feed a nearby stray cat, as she does every morning. That was when she found a giant snake.”Actually, he kinda found me,” she says. “He was curled up on my welcome mat.”When she saw it headed under the siding of the building, “I called 911, who called animal control, who called this guy ‘Sasquatch’ out in Woodinville.”After speaking with Sasquatch on the phone, she learned that the snake wasn’t venomous, and, with the help of two friends, managed to corral it into empty bin, which they placed next to a heater to keep the snake warm. Sasquatch, who breeds and collects exotic snakes–check out his website–was there within a couple hours. “He’s a very interesting person, a very cool guy,” says Perry. “This guy has 40 snakes. He was showing me pictures of his new queen cobra, which was in his shirt at the time…He gave me his brochure; he has private showings of his Asian bearcats and his snakes. I’m not sure who was more exotic, quite frankly–the snake or the guy who came to get him.”So if that is your snake in the picture above, e-mail me or contact Sasquatch–he’ll be holding onto it for you.
