A black president, an Attorney General who will state unequivocally that waterboarding is torture, star-studded inaugural concerts licensed exclusively to premium cable networks, and newspapers of record that likely won’t outlast the impending administration. Times are a-changin’.The P-I is offering a commemorative section on the 2008 election, and I can’t imagine it’s the only endangered periodical doing so. It’s kind of weird to see a paper commemorating a non-geological event whose results it might not get to cover.
