Tilson and Barfly of the Saturday Knights, Fisher Green Stage, 7:30 p.m.Unlike some of my fellow photo pass holders, I didn’t spend my whole experience at Bumbershoot running around trying to shoot as many shows as possible, but from what I saw, there were more photographers at the Saturday Knights stage than any other non-mainstage act I’ve seen in the past two days– and the Knights, who I believe replaced Kid Sister, weren’t even in the original line-up. But those suckers are hard to shoot, because like at every Saturday Knights show, all three of those men ran and jumped around the stage constantly, regaling the audience not only with most of Mingle, including a couple of my favorite tracks, “Dog Park” and “Count It Off”, they also did a cover of the Fleet Foxes’ “White Winter Hymnal,” Saturday Knights style. From the looks of the packed crowd on one of Bumbershoot’s biggest stages, covering the newly-famous Fleet Foxes was an appropriate choice: like the Fleet Foxes before them, all the Saturday Knights really need to do now is head out on tour to become the next national It band.
