The listening party/video premiere for Dark Time Sunshine’s album, Believeyoume, takes place Nov. 21 at the Rendezvous. If you like a good mystery and good hip-hop, then on Nov. 21 head over to the Rendezvous for the listening party/video premiere for Dark Time Sunshine’s album Believeyoume. The event begins at 10:30 p.m. and features a set from DJ Zone, a listen to the album accompanied by a magic show (?!), the premiere of Dark Time Sunshine’s video encompassing three of the album’s songs (“Doom,” “Go Team,” and “The Wrong Kids”), and live performances by Northwest hip-hop A-listers Pale Soul, Sick, Aura, XP, Candidt, Sleep, and headliner Ninjaface. Since there are only 40 open spots at $5 a pop, you’ll want to get there early. So, who is Dark Time Sunshine? You may be able to figure it out by examining the connections between the other performers at the event. Or you can just pick up Believeyoume when it drops on Nov. 17 via Fake Four Inc: The sound of both the EFX-laden production (it conjures up everything from a space odyssey to nocturnal creatures scratching at window panes) and the MC (who, though well-known and prolific, takes solace in the shadows) is unmistakable. Or at 9 p.m. tonight you can swing through Lo-Fi, where Dark Time Sunshine is rumored to be playing.
