Rumors have been going around that because Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was robbed in Atlanta, the Deranged Diction show at the Crocodile this Friday would be canceled (since, you know, Ament is in Deranged Diction as well.) However, as Crocodile marketing master Kerri Harrop just informed us, the show is not canceled. Ament is fine. A little freaked out, understandably, but fine, and certainly ready to play on Friday. Plus, a new band comprised of Kurt Bloch, Andrew McKeag, Mike Musburger, Drew Church, and probably some other prominent faces will be opening. They have christened this band “Suck Machine,” and their set will most likely be full of interesting guests and surprises, so show up on time for this one. I know that Deranged Diction has not performed in public for 25 years, so it’s understandable that people would be pretty disappointed if the show was canceled. But I promise you, it’s not. Go on back to your homes, people. Everything’s fine.
