Roberta RidolfiThe U District’s Neptune Theatre has been open as a music venue since June, but it celebrated its official Grand Opening last week. The best reason to celebrate, however, might be the lineup the historic, STG-owned theater has booked for this week (and for all of October and November, really), which kicks off with Brazilian electro-pop group CSS tonight at 8 p.m. The band’s latest album, La Liberacion, continues in the same vein as its earlier work, so dancing is to be expected. The awesome bookings continue the rest of the week with shows from San Francisco indie-pop outfit Girls, chillwave pioneer Washed Out, and British art-rock group Wild Beasts.Tickets for CSS are $19 at the door.
