Just a friendly reminder that if you’d like to immerse yourself in brassy bliss, you should go pick up Throw Me the Statue’s joyous opus, Creaturesque, immediately. It comes out today, and I urge you to visit one of our friendly local record stores and pick up a copy. If you’re not entirely convinced yet, go check out “Ancestors” and “Hi Fi Goon,” two tracks off the new record (of course, my personal favorites are still “Pistols” and “Dizzy From the Fall,” the song with which the band closed out their set at the Mural Amphitheater last Friday). I’m willing to wager it’ll be the best eleven bucks you spend all week.
