Jay Bennett (pictured), multi-instrumentalist, solo artist and a former member of Wilco who was with the band for some of their best albums– Being There, Summerteeth, and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot — died early Sunday morning at 45 years old. We were actually listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in the car on the way home from Sasquatch last night, but I didn’t find out about this until just now. An autopsy is being performed to determine cause of death. Sad news for Wilco fans, and for Wilco. Rest in peace, Jay Bennett. We’ll remember you fondly.
