Jason ParkerDavid Pierre-Louis, the owner of the U-District’s LUCID Jazz Lounge just returned from Haiti yesterday where he went searching for his mother in the wake of last week’s earthquake. Though he found his mother unharmed, Pierre-Louis plans to return to Haiti ASAP with as much aid as possible. To help him raise money for the trip and his relief efforts, seven venues in the U-District are hosting bands and jam sessions tonight — including the Jason Parker Quartet, Coldnote, and Elsa Nillson — with all proceeds going to help Pierre-Louis’ efforts. A wristband — suggested donation between $5 and $20 — gets you through the door of all seven venues.
