It will be called Salvation Is A Deep Dark Well, and it comes out on Gigantic Music June 30. I first got into The Builders and the Butchers for their morbid bluegrass songs about death and destruction, but it was the CD release party for their self-titled album that really cemented my love for this band. Not only do they pass around an array of noisemakers for the audience, if you get lucky, they’ll finish out the show by leading the crowd in a musical procession out the door and around the block. These guys are playing Sasquatch, as well; is it too much to hope for them to lead their audience around the Gorge at the end of the set to pester the other bands? What do I have to do to make this happen? Just say the word, and it will be so.
