If you’ve seen Rocket Queen’s column this week, you already know that our fifth annual all-local music festlval takes place Saturday, October 3 in Ballard again this year, and while I can’t reveal all the line-up details now — everything will be finalized after Bumbershoot — I’m really excited about this year’s fest, and not just because I helped pick out the bands who are playing (okay, that’s kind of why.) But I’m also excited because last year was more fun than a room full of puppies and rainbows. There’s a lot of fabulous music being made in this city, and that’s what REVERB (drop the fest) is meant to celebrate. If you haven’t been before, I suggest checking out some inebriated coverage of last year’s festival over here. The only bummer? No more VIP Sunset Speakeasy. Sad. Anyway, you can visit the REVERB website for additional updates and to buy wristbands in advance; they get you into all the venues listed, including the Sunset and the Tractor. They cost $5 advance and $7 on the day of the show for all ages folks, and $8 in advance or $10 on the day of the show for 21+ers.
