If the poster is any indication, Lupe Fiasco’s Steppin Lasers tour is going to be as wild as memories of his opening slot for Kanye West’s Glow in the Dark. But this time he’s in control, and as the name indicates it draws heavy from his highly-anticipated third (and potentially last) album We Are Lasers for the first time. Seattle gets a piece of that action on May 7, when he’ll play a Friday night show at Showbox SoDo. Lupe also told New Zealand’s 3 News that the album “is done and in Atlantic Records’ hands, and he’s just waiting to hear about a release date.Almost as exciting is the fact that Atlanta emcee and Kanye West prodigy B.o.B. will be handling opening honors, and the Seattle stop will come just a few weeks after his debut release The Adventures of Bobby Ray.
