Given that Joshua Frazier and Florin Merano of electro-pop duo Go Periscope have only been active in the local music scene for two years, it is impressive–ridiculous even–that their accomplishments thus far already put more their experienced peers to shame. Go Periscope is one of the only unsigned acts ever to top dance radio station C-89 FM’s charts–besting major players like Deadmau5 and Rihanna last summer–and their music has been featured on popular TV shows like The Hills and The Real World. It gets better: Rolling Stone has selected 16 unsigned bands to compete to grace its cover, and one of those bands is Seattle’s very own Go Periscope. You can read the details here, but to help Frazier and Merano out, you must go to the contest website and vote for them. Go Periscope deserves the national exposure, and it would be awesome to see a band from here land such a coveted prize. So make sure you vote!
