The Finnish jock/producer and founder of Noppa Recordings has appeared on numerous compilations, including Warrior Remixes (Formation) and Get Darker Presents: This Is Dubstep (Get Darker). Though he can get grimy with the lowest decibels, Tes is unafraid to lean heavy on the reggae/toaster side of the spectrum, too. Indeed, on tracks like “Up in the VIP” (Dub Police), featuring Uncle Sam–the MC whose “Round the World Girls” (Argon) Tes remixed in 2007–Tes shows an uncanny ear for the dividing line between dubstep and its antecedents. He’s a bad man!
