From 14KT’s TwitterLast night 2010’s Red Bull Big Tune–the beat battle brainchild of local legends Vitamin D, J. Moore, DV One and Jake One–culminated with a final competition in Chicago. Origninally the Austin regional runner-up (behind Seattle ex-pat Budo), Ypsilanti, Mich. native 14KT took the crown. For winning, he’ll will get studio time with an A-list emcee of his choice at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, Calif. Last year’s victor Frank Dukes (Detroit) worked with Ghostface Killah, 2008 champ C-Sick (Chicago) chose Nas and our very own Brainstorm worked with Young Buck after winning in 2007.Seattle’s 2010 Regional winner, Risingson, was ousted by San Francisco victor Hitmakers–who is just one person, Justin Yonan–and our runner-up, Portland native Trox, was beat out (no puns) by Minneapolis’s champ G Mo.
