Every time I’ve been on the Showbox’s website recently, that show has had a big gray “Sold Out” box next to it. Like, for weeks. But Ticketmaster just loves to toy with our emotions: turns out there are, in fact, still tickets available for the Shins’ appearance at Showbox at the Market tonight. Of all of the obnoxious, nefarious practices of Ticketmaster, this little now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t trick has got to be the most aggravating. Something’s sold out (or, in Ticketmaster lingo, “tickets are unavailable”), then it’s not sold out, then it is again…gah. Anyway, if you want tickets, right this minute is the time to go buy some.
