Dosh will be at the High Dive on Sunday – email me to win free tickets! The Minneapolis-based Rhodes-master Martin Luther King Chavez Dosh – or just Dosh, as he prefers – is a critically-renowned percussionist and composer who’s collaborated with the likes of Bonnie Prince Billy and Andrew Bird. His most recent records, 2008’s Wolves and Wishes and this year’s Tommy, won praise for its mesmerizing blend of samples, drum machines, jazzy saxophones, rap beats, and fuzzy guitar. Dosh is going to be at the High Dive this Sunday at 8 p.m. as part of his current nationwide tour. Tickets are $10 – unless you want to check him out for free. In that case, email me today at ethompson@seattleweekly.com to be entered in a drawing for a pair of free tickets. We’ll notify the winner tomorrow morning. Thanks and good luck!
