Admittedly, this album just came out on Tuesday, and I know I’ve been kinda heavy on the hip hop/dance aspect of contemporary Jewish music so far in my Passover music blogging extravaganza, but you would all be fools not to check out this record, which just so happens to be BBB’s first remix record ever. Balkan Beat Box spearheaded some of the remixes, but Soulico, Dub Gabriel, Nickodemus and a few others contributed their DJ talents as well. These remixes come off like dance music’s answer to Camp David. Like, if pigs flew and hell froze over, and then Lebanon hooked up with Israel, Turkey started making out with Pakistan and THEN Egypt wanted in on the Lebanon-Israel action, and suddenly everyone in the Middle East was having one big, international Summer of Love orgy in an olive grove, this album is what they should get freaky to.
