1. Tallulah’s Meatless Mondays continues this summer, celebrating the wonderful world of vegetables. On June 2, ten percent of the sales from Meatless Monday will be donated to Food in Motion, which “rescues” food that would otherwise go to waste and repurposes it into meals for youth shelters, senior centers, and homeless services throughout Seattle.

2. Tom Douglas and his wife, Jackie Cross, are hosting three dinners at their Prosser farm, in Yakima Valley. The events (June 21, August 30, and October 25) involve six courses at a communal table in the farm house and a tour of the 20-acre farm. For more information and to buy tickets visit the Tom Douglas website.

3. Popular bubble tea spot Oasis Tea Zone will open a new location on Capitol Hill between Stumptown and Fogon on Pine Street, according to Capitol Hill Seattle. This will be the chain’s fourth store.

4. Coffee prices are expected to spike soon, reports NPR. Drought and disease in Brazil and Central America will shrink supply – so if you were paying attention in Econ 101, you know that means higher prices.
