1. Chef John Sundstrom has a busy fall ahead, including relocating Lark and opening two new restaurants, all in the Central Agency Building on Capitol Hill. The building’s main floor will hold the new Lark, with an expanded menu. Sundstrom says, “It’s Lark, grown up.” On the mezzanine above the new Lark, Sundstrom’s Bitter/Raw will serve oysters and other shellfish, crudos, and sashimi, plus charcuterie, amaro, and aperitifs. And finally, Sundstrom’s Slab Sandwich + Pie will sit just off the main entrance to the building and will serve weekday sandwiches and picnic items.

2. Ballard’s newest restaurant, Eetbar, has opened a block off Market Street in the former Nick’s Off Market space. The spot is self-described as “an unfussy yet worldly neighborhood restaurant and bar,” a family-friendly place for cocktails, socializing. The menu combines northern European, Filipino, and Indonesian comfort food.

3. West Seattle’s Fresh Bistro is celebrating its fifth birthday for two weeks, from May 22 to June 5. During that time, guests can order from a throwback menu from the restaurant’s opening and housemade s’mores will be available.

4. Chefs Feed has started a video series featuring restaurateurs reading negative online reviews – Jason Stratton of Spinasse, Artusi, and Aragona is first up and the video is on YouTube.
