What: Fish with red chiles, zucchini, and cabbage. When I ate it: For lunch todayWhen I ordered it: Best I can tell, some time in August or early SeptemberA lot of leftovers pass through my hands in the course of a week. The boxes that don’t go home with my tablemates get stuck in the freezer for some future lunch. I pulled this container out this morning, thought, “Hunh, can’t tell exactly what this is but I should probably eat it,” and microwaved it about an hour ago.Now I’m pretty sad I didn’t stick a note to my future self in the container. It’s great. I think it’s from Szechuan 99, which I ate at with friends on a non-review expedition, or else it’s from Chiang’s Gourmet, which my calendar says I last visited August 28. (Heather? Andrew? Does this dish ring a bell with you?) The zucchini melted down in the freezer, but the fish is still really tender. If you can figure out what this dish is and where it comes from, I’d definitely recommend ordering extra to bring home.
