We spotted these signs on South Jackson (at 14th Ave. E.) and can’t wait to see what. Japanese sweet shops just plain kick ass in the service they provide for the sale of even a few little trinket snacks. Confections are wrapped with the greatest of care and often designed with an attention to detail above and beyond anything we Americans offer. No one eats in public in Japan, unless in a designated area, but young women buy sweets and go at them like forest creatures on the way to and from the train.
