The Fish Club is really two restaurants in one. There’s the dressy, upscale seafood palace devised by food entrepreneur Todd English as a pilot for Marriott Hotels everywhere, and the Fish Club Lounge next door: a trendy but comfortable place for drinking and dining with its own dozen-plus food specials. That menu’s available from 2:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., but from 5 to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight it goes half-price, making it one of the city’s browsing bargains. Crispy calamari, garlic fries with truffle dip, Caesar salad, all for $3; a tasty single-portion margherita pizza for $5, a spicy Dungeness crab salad or four succulent Kobe beef mini-cheeseburgers for $6.50, fabulous ale-battered fish and chips for $6.50, and more, more, more. Drinks aren’t discounted so heavily—drafts and wine for $3, signature Cosmos, sidecars, and margaritas for $5.50, wells for $4.50—but when the wells are Skyy, Beefeater, Sauza Gold, Jim Beam, Bacardi, and Dewar’s, who’s going to complain? 2200 Alaskan Way (across from Pier 66), 206-256-1040 DOWNTOWN
