Reviews of Seattle restaurants appearing in print and online this week:At the Times, Providence Cicero shows some love to Hudson New American Public House in Maple Leaf (not to be confused with Hudson down in Georgetown). Bonus: The photo accompanying the review shows that Hudson stocks Kwak, a Belgian beer, with the appropriate glass. In the Dining Deals section of the paper, Danny O’Neil loves up the tofu at Northwest Tofu House.Over at the Stranger, Bethany J Clement braves Elemental Next Door and finds that the food is good, the wine is cheap, and the attitude is absent. No word on whether, unlike at Elemental, it’s possible to leave END sober enough to drive. At Tastingmenu/new P-I, Hillel Cooperman writes about the simple goodness at Volunteer Park Cafe.Jay Friedman at Gastrolust grades the new Maximus Minimus pigtruck (definitely better than passing) and Capitol Hill’s Old School Frozen Custard (not exceeding expectations).
