Maybe you don’t ever think about having beer or cigarettes or the legal and debatable salvia delivered to your door, but if you did want a bottle of wine and some cigarettes without a trek to the store at 11:00 p.m. on a Thursday night, i-booze.com was your saving grave. The Liquor Control Board recently took away the business’ license to sell beer and wine and rejected the application for a new license probably on grounds that i-booze’s business model in part relies on service of alcohol to intoxicated persons. Ouch. It is against the law to serve or sell alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated, period. Guess there’s no splitting hairs, even when you’re already safe at home. Can you run a late night delivery service on ciggies and salvia alone? Oh, and Oreos? Unless i-booze adds some grub (chicken wings!), looks like the gig is up.
